Page 5 DELGADO HOUSE ~ c. 1880 185 East D Street History: This outstanding Victorian cottage was built in the late 1880s or early 1890s. An excellent example of the double gabled Queen Anne style, this house has recently been treated to a complete renovation by its current owners. The attractive three quarter‟s length porch Has been completely rebuilt with turned posts and decorative spindles and railings. Architecture: This double gabled Victorian displays a pro- truding front gable with openwork trim with cladding to match the house. The eaves are wide and boxed. The primary gable end is clad with fish scale shingles. With considerable orna- mentation the beckoning porch lives up to the exuberance of this architectural genre
